Copy text from screenshots
Extract text from a captured screen, edit it and copy it. Paste an image to start.
Capture a screen whose text is difficult to copy, then select the image file or paste it from the clipboard. This page starts in printed text mode.
Small text and downscaled screenshots can be misread. Use a clear original capture and crop to the text if useful. Complex layouts containing pictures or icons may produce a different reading order.
The result is plain text. It does not reproduce the screen’s fonts, colors or layout. Keep line breaks or merge them with text cleanup, and compare codes, numbers and symbols with the original.
How to use
- Add a screenshot file or paste an image.
- Select the screen’s languages in printed text mode and extract.
- Check line order and symbols, edit and copy the text.
What to check
Screenshots are not uploaded, including those containing personal information. Small originals may remain in this browser’s recent images; delete them from that list when needed.
Frequently asked questions
Does paste also analyze clipboard text?
The input accepts pasted images. Word tools analyze words recognized from images or PDFs; there is no separate input for arbitrary text.
Does it copy the screen’s appearance?
No. It extracts editable, copyable text. Tables and multiple columns can have an incorrect reading order.
What if English and Korean are mixed?
Select both Korean and English in printed OCR language settings. You can keep only the languages you need.
